Amazing, 4 Students of This Faculty, Create a Zigzag Waste Filter Tool - Due to the high level of waste in the Indonesian rivers that reach 70-75%, then four students named Siska Rahmadani, Ayu Khurotul Aini Amalia, Dwi Laksana Aji Putra, and Yayang Saputra provide solutions by creating a tool that can filter waste water home Stairs especially for terraced houses.
The result of this creation originated from concerns on household wastewater that immediately thrown away without any treatment first. This condition is exacerbated by the number of multi-storey houses. Initially waste is not a big problem, but due to rapid population growth then there was an increase in household liquid waste.
The working principle of ZUGOS itself is, consisting of a storage container containing kelor seed powder. This box itself is the first filter in filtering. After the box there is a pipe designed in zig-zag, in the pipe there are sand filters, zeolites, charcoal, and fibers. The slope of the zig-zag pipe + -30 with a length of 2 meters. The pipe contains the filter completely without leaving the cavity, except for each connection. This tool can use 3-inch diameter pipe.
From the water filter media we use the innovation of moringa seed powder, which moring seed powder itself has not been widely utilized in Indonesia. Therefore, we chose moringa seed powder because it contains substances that can decrease the pH and can decrease turbidity level.
